The creek does the rest

There is a temptation, building a place like this, to add. To decorate. To narrate what the eye can already see. We have tried, mostly, to resist it.

The creek gives the estate its name. The willows are among the arbors that drape the banks at Willowbank. The pecans, magnolia groves stand behind The Reserve. The creek, the willows, the pecans. The design simply gives them room.

So the design gets out of the way. Generous space. A restrained hand. The rolling acres handle the rest.
